Hello, everyone! Ni here.

As many of you are likely aware, our Plot Calendar has a two-week modplot starting near the end of July. We are intending this to be a fun and informative event (just like the plot's namesake), but there's one thing we need: somepony to kick off the plot!

As such, we're setting this post up to see who might be interested in having their characters initiate what's to happen. Sign ups for characters will end on July 8, when we roll RNG to decide which character gets the honors. That character's player will then receive the info needed to kickstart the plot! Which may or may not involve reading something. We can neither confirm nor deny those allegations at this time.

So, with that said, good luck, and may the RNG God smile down upon you all!

Hey Team, we wanted everyone to be aware of this thread going on over in Griffaltar. No doubt the characters involved will be sharing the information ICly soon, but what this signals is a shift in the drop mechanic at MLJ. Characters who are rainbowed away will now be ferried home instead of being stuck inside Calice.

Hey, everyone, Ni here. Just two minor things for characters to be on the lookout for ICly:

-The two winners of the Gala will be receiving their prizes. Namely, they will receive an all-expense paid trip for themselves and three other friends to the magical land of Cube-Ah, an island where the fashions, the culture, the holidays, the houses, and the attractions - really everything done is decidedly...square. Think Tetris Land with ponies!

-Hoovesweek is late. Unusually so, even. OoCly I hope to have it ready by this weekend, but ICly? Its definitely something characters - especially those who've been in Equestria awhile - will take notice of, since its normally out at the end of April.

-Starting this week, characters might notice some stirrings happening at the edge of Ponyville, on the western outskirts of Sweet Apple Acres, near Whitetail Woods. In particular, there are piles of wood, thatch, and other various tools and supplies that, as the weeks go by, will steadily pile up. Looks like somepony's getting ready to build something, hmm?

In the tradition of the pizza contest from two years back, its time for your characters to vote on the mask they think should win this year's Grand Galloping Gala!

...Unfortunately, we had so many entries (even without the three NPC entries I planned on putting in!) that I broke the polling code I would have otherwise used for this poll. So the link to vote is here (and will also be cross-posted into the Gala log when its put up!). I did my best to describe everyone's masks accurately, and hopefully, I got everyone's mask in!

While we are allowing multiple voting, we just ask that you limit it to one vote per character - so a player with three characters may have one vote for each character to choose their favorite mask. Otherwise, go wild - and if your character is not at the Gala, they can still vote! The poll will close on Friday, May 14th, and the winner will receive a prize from Princess Celestia herself!

Just a quick little post inviting players whose characters will be attending the Gala in mask to post what their character's mask will be here! Its completely optional, and all comments are screened for future purposes.

While this is presently a closed log, folks may want to keep an eye on this thread where we see Nana Granate and Halie once more in Tartarus with Zecora, Dante, and Bertie. There will likely be some 'action items' coming out of this that those three will be able to share.

You can trust the head mod~ if you have anycurrent in-game characters who are either a CRAU from Mayfield, a CRAU with CR from two or more games, or a character (OU or AU) with a canon history of going to other universes, please comment quick here with that info!

Just posting here to announce that, yes, the Pale Pony has made and appearance, and has a name which they identify themselves as. So we mods will be alternating between calling it the Pale Pony, and that name - which is now known to be Cálice.

Insert all the "how many layers does this one have now" joke here.

We will also be giving the Pale Pony its own journal in the near future, so rest assured, this is definitely not the last time we've seen them.

Everyone should be aware of Discord telling Fluttershy that the stars are disappearing from the night sky on an OOC level.

ICly, unless your character is a Princess Luna, Princess Celestia, Discord, or a pony who has a canonical special talent (i.e., cutie mark) for Equestrian astronomy, they will not be able to pin point any specific oddities in the night sky on their own, even if they notice something a little off about the nights. The reasons for this will be explored as the MLJ over-arching plot progresses. Until then, feel free to speculate and carry on!

SN Princess Luna will have contacted her princess counterparts and requested their discretion in this matter given the concern and panic it might start.
