SECOND ANNUAL RUNNING OF THE LEAVES

MY FELLOW EQUESTRIANS! It's time once more for the annual Running of the Leaves! Spike the Dragon will be making a repeat as your handsome, talented, and draconic announcer. He'll have all the race highlights! There will be an announcement for the race later today along with a log for participants starting on Saturday, the 4th. Everyone is welcome to join in as a racer, spectator, or co-announcer... if they pay the appropriate respect due to the current announcer! Below you will find the signup list for RACERS. The annual Running of the Leaves is, first and foremost, a way for Equestria to bring down all those pesky autumn leaves hanging on where they shouldn't, but who doesn't like a little friendly competition? The race will be run through Whitetail Wood around Ponyville in ten legs. At each leg, mysterious forces (see: RNG) will determine the racer positions within the pack. The reasons for placement will be left up to the racers. Did Rainbow Dash suddenly fall to the back because she tripped over a stump? Was Applejack not paying attention to that rock she fell over? Did Twilight Sparkle get a burst of speed from her appreciation of the fall foliage? Our trusty announcer will provide the order; you provide the why! And for the top three winners, there's a feature in the next Hoovesweek to look forward to, not to mention some other possible treats! We promise their interviews will not be about their favorite yogurt flavors. Probably. The race will take place in-game on Saturday, October 4th, but log itself will run from the 4th to the 11th.
