With the opening of the ways and the return of old friends, the distant possibility of someday returning home has suddenly become immediate and real. For some, though, this beginning of the end is bittersweet at best. What do you do when you know that for your mother best friend, going home means losing her most treasured memories?

There's nothing to be done about it, of course…at least, nothing that wouldn't break the laws of time. And of course Andrew would never try to circumvent causality. Right?

Both Tailses have been working on a side-project for a few months and with the help of TT!Fluttershy, they will be ready to present it. What's their project you make ask.

Why it's UT (Universal Translator). Like the name implies, it's supposed to be able to translate any languages including animal speak.

And it works...a little too well as it turns out UT can "translate" underlying meanings and subtext in what characters say. Basically it's like mind-reading but without getting directly into the characters' heads.

Here's a couple canon examples from the episode UT's from:
Amy: That's great Tails!
UT's translation: Pretty lame.

Sonic: Don't be offended Sticks! Knuckles didn't mean to think that.
UT's translation: He's not the sharpest tool in the shed.

So what does this mean for your characters? Well when both Tailses make the post to introduce UT, UT will say pretty much what your character is thinking regardless of the consequences.
And because of the nature of this mini-plot, we need to know who would cool with it or what.

Also, because this will come up, any swearing will come out as a beep and any meanings that would break the game's rating will only come out as a long beep instead.

This mini-plot will start sometime between June 7th and June 13th (depends on RL).

In the days since Yu betrayed Equestria, he's been serving out his sentence in the Palace, left to his own guilt and regret at what he had done. More than this, he has also started regressing to the point of pre-canon, closing himself off from the world around him and the "fake" bonds he believes he has. After all, Tirek did show him the truth of what friendships really were...

Right?

The Plot
Yukiko is setting in motions plans to help Yu get on the right path. In order to do this, she plans on teaming up with Homura in order to get into Yu's dreams and shape them into a version of that year in Inaba, only different. This time around there are no murders, no TV world, and no Personae. This time around, it's just a normal year, with a focus on showing Yu that he has real friends, no special powers involved.

This plot is open up to everyone that wants to be involved, even if you do not currently have CR with Yu. This will be your opportunity to get some before he returns to Ponyville next month, and will mean so much more to him, especially if he's never met your character before.

While characters will feel like they experienced the entire year in Inaba, they won't really. Everything that happens in the dream world takes the course of a day in-game time. Since this is a human world, characters will appear as humans in the dream and players are free to choose any role in the story they wish, whether it's as a student, a teacher, one of the townspeople, ect. The focus of each thread will be "the moment they became friends", meaning not only can friendships be made with Yu, but characters can interact and get to know each other better, or even renew friendships that may have been strained by recent events.

The Bulletpoints

• After the Gala, Yukiko puts out a call to other ponies looking for help.
• Once everyone's gathered, Homura sends everyone into Yu's dreams.
• Characters play out the year in Inaba.
  • Characters will appear as humans.
  • Characters are free to choose any role they wish in the story.
  • Focus is on friendship. So much friendship everywhere.
  • Characters will remember who they really are and why they're doing this; Yu will not.
• Everyone goes back to Ponyville in the end for a happy ending.

Grab your popcorn and pull up a seat, because it's time for the First Annual Equestrian Film Festival!

At last. I have waited so long to bring you, finally, the Overlord's true and greatest plan.

Just as he explains on the scrolls, Zetta has brought two planets in and is tidally locking them to orbit in synch with the sun and the moon. Over the course of the next two weeks, the eclipses brought on by the two planets will last longer and longer, until on Saturday, the 20th, darkness will reign eternal over Equestria -- unless and until the Princesses cede rulership to the Overlord.

Which means over the next two weeks, ponies will have to work their tails off more and more to counteract the increasing damage done by the lack of light. Animals, crops, weather patterns, everything will become increasingly disrupted and require pony intervention to keep on track and functional.

On the other hoof, your characters might decide that they can't really risk the plot coming to its most likely end (in which the planets turn out to be made of cheese and gradually melt into a delicious ring around the world which rains tasty fried cheddar down at mealtimes), and will seek to stop the Overlord in epic combat. At present, two such battles are planned -- Dame Rarity and MayTwi vs. Zetta, and AU!Luna's last-minute all-out fight to end the Overlord's hopes. Feel free to plan more. The only other thing planned at present is Zetta's minions hunting down Reimi to put an end to her use of Sunny Day.

Zetta's been setting this up for a long time, now. You may be surprised to find he's somewhat more competent than the Boutique-rebuilding, moon-pony-saving, snack-cake-discovering villain you're familiar with.

On a side note, it turns out that on the 20th I'm actually gonna be busy the entire day, which of course I had no way to anticipate in January when I scheduled this, so in fact the final wrapup of the plot will come on Sunday.

Starting next Monday, MLJ will face its greatest threat in the form of a player plot -- uh, I mean Equestria will face yet another threat in the form of Zetta's evil schemes! For next week begins the plot called The Heart of Winter.

Thanks to cutie-mark-swapping, Zetta learned the dreamwalking spells normally reserved for moonbutt ponies, and despite his idle threats to blackmail Equestria, he actually put them to much more sinister use by invading the dreamscape of no less worthy a victim than Princess Celestia herself. There, he learned of an ancient artifact of immense power and its last known resting place.

The Frozen Fire of Friendship once dwelt at the heart of windigo territory, perhaps even served as the source of the elemental creatures. Just as implied, it is the Fire of Friendship overwhelmed by the full might of windigokind, crystallized magic perverted to their use. In short, the artifact's possessor makes Elsa look like a fridge-door ice dispenser. It's probably a good idea to keep Zetta from getting it.

So it's off to the frozen city of Stalliongrad! The action will be split into three parts, for three different potential locations of the Frozen Fire. OOC, the plot runs from the 20th to the 30th, but that will reflect travel time there and back as well. Officially the plot will resolve on the 30th, although I expect we'll be doing a lot of backtagging as is our wont.

Hey folks! Ni here with a quick little player plot update, leading into the Worst Morning After Ever plot! Unfortunately, the player in question couldn't do the write up, so I'm doing it instead.

*cue the thunder and dramatic music*

Hiya guys. Here's the scoop on what's going on.

Back in January during the auction, one of the items Tails got was was what appeared to be a seemingly normal plain amulet but if you notice the second picture on the right, it's cursed.

Yes, starting at the beginning of the plot, Tails will start acting strange. During the course of the week leading up to the Gala, he will slowly start turning into more and more of a jerk. Think Assertive!Fluttershy from Putting Your Hoof Down.

What will this all lead up to?

A fight!

To be more exact, Tails will transform into a Timber Wolf/Pony Hybrid Monster! Again, think Flutter Bat from Bats! (This artwork was done by yours truly.)


Anyhow, post here with your plans for the Gala. We will need some ponies to fight Tails and restore him to normal.

Sup, everyone? Dassa here, along with your resident dorky farmer/soldier pony Nephenee, and this is a Information Post for an upcoming event.

It's mid-fall now, the leaves have turned their fiery colors, and the crops are ripening. In fact, they're just about ready for picking! Back home, when it was time for Harvest, Nephenee's village would often have a party to celebrate this, and this is where everyone comes in! The Commune's fields and trees need harvesting!

This will be a joint Harvesting/Planting and Party event. What this means is while there will be threads for harvesting crops and canning and barreling grape juice (yes folks, we're fermentin' stuff) and what have you, there will also be a celebration during, and a feast at the end. Think of the 'tale' of American Thanksgiving of everyone coming together to get the job done and then stuffing their faces at the end in celebration. We will not be arguing about the veracity or non-veracity of this. It's the idea that counts.
