The Equestrian Games Sign-ups
A more thorough OOC post regarding the Games will be up tomorrow or the day following, but for now, we want to get sign-ups for the games underway. The Equestrian Games will take place over a two week period and the new pony events will be held during the second week to give everyone a chance to get in and see what the Games are about before being thrown into the chaos and joy of all that sporting! While they'll be running one per day in-game, we will start all of these threads at once.
As Spike mentioned in his scroll message, these are the events your character could potentially participate in:
The Hammer Toss - 6 Spots
Ice Archery - 6 Spots
Equestrian Dressage - 6 Spots
Equestrian Jumping - 6 Spots
Canoe Sprint - 6 Spots
Ping Pong - 8 Spots
As a note, all powers/equipment/enhancements will be deactivated during participation in the games. Discordwants to make sure you play fair enjoy your suffering for his own amusement. All of these will, of course, be restored immediately after any competitions end! But your characters will have to rely on their grit and mettle to win these games. And by that, we mean the Random Number Generator. For those who participated in The Running of the Leaves last year, the events will run something along those lines, but will be shorter in duration. You will find more info on each event in the comments below.

You will need to be actively participating in these games if you sign up. If you do not, your character's actions will be assumed by the announcers to make sure things keep clipping along. 'Actively participating' means tagging at least once a day. Most of these events will have three rounds of RNG to them, so that's three active days of participating.
Sign-ups will CLOSE FRIDAY, August 8th at 11:59 PM PST. If there are more than the allotted slots for that event who sign up, they will be randomly selected for placement. Note, if you have more than one character and you get picked for one event, your other characters will be placed at the back of the line for any other events that might have a lottery pick. This is to ensure that the maximum number of players get to participate in the plot!
But wait! My character has super strength/speed/agility that would make them awesome at one of the games! What if they would win by default?: Thanks to Discord's meddling, these abilities will be switched off for the duration of the competition. Your character will be on an even playing field... although that doesn't mean that any devious characters couldn't try to meddle with their competitors. Just don't get caught!
This does not affect the actual skill competency. For example, Nephenee would still know how to jump effectively, she just wouldn't have the leg strength to leap a building.
What if not all of the PC slots are filled up for a game?: The spots will be filled up with NPCs so that anyone who signed up will still have a chance to join in the competition.
