Quick but important OoC update!

Hey, everyone! Ni here with a quick announcement regarding a change in rules regarding canon character limits. The changes in these rules are reflected in our F.A.Q., as well as the rules regarding the limit on basement items, and the change regarding Celestia being apped. The canon character limit information, however, is the most important, and is addressed both in the F.A.Q. and below.

Basically, after discussion among the mods, its been decided that our two character limit per canon needed to be clarified, and a potential loophole closed. I just want to clarify that no one's been abusing this, no one's in trouble, everyone is fine, and you guys are all awesome. But its something that has been brought up and thus still needs to be addressed and clarified for the future.

In any case, as a result of our discussions, we've decided that our two-character-per-canon limit now applies to meta-canons/fandom metaverses. What this means is that players can only app up to two characters per meta-canon, as well as just in any given canon. Our definition of a meta-canon, or metaverse, is basically a canon with multiple iterations, be it canons with multiple series within its metaverse that share a common, overarching multiverse (such as Kamen Rider/Super Sentai and the Marvel multiverse), or as metaverses which have canons which retell the same basic story in multiple mediums (such as Sailor Moon and Final Fantasy). The new limit rule takes effect immediately.

We know that this creates a potential problem for some players currently in-game. As a result of this rule change, some players' character rosters may go over the set limit because of how we now classify certain canons. However, we're not going to make anyone drop any characters they currently have, since the rule change is a new one. Instead, we've decided that characters currently in-game who would normally count towards a player's character limit will be grandfathered in. Players won't be penalized for any current characters which violate this new rule, and they won't be required to drop any current characters as a result. However, if said characters are dropped in the future, said characters will be subject to the character limit, and players will not be allowed to re-apply for them without adhering to the new limits. This includes if said characters are auto-dropped in the future because of a failed AC.

With that, thank you for reading, and we will continue to keep you updated on any new changes and rule clarifications in the future!

Piggybacking on the fanfictions as meta-canon thing, what about crossovers, specifically crossovers that meld one universe to another?

For example, let's go with the "Magical Pony Lyrical Twilight" stories, which puts the events of Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha, Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha A's and Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha StrikerS within Equestria, with Twilight replacing Nanoha as the main. If I were to app, say, Fate Testarossa (whose origins remain the same as in the normal Nanoha stories, except she becomes a pony when she ends up in Equestria, gets help much sooner than in canon and ends up becoming Twilight's little sister at the end of the first story), would she still be considered counted as a Nanoha character or some combination of MLP and Nanoha?

I know, silly and confusing question, but it's better to be safe than sorry.
