Be polite and objective! If someone says they're cool with anonymous crit, that is not an invitation to be unfriendly. No one likes a Diamond Tiara! If you have something negative to say about somebody else's playing, make your points politely and suggest ways to improve. To give an example:
X - Unhelpful Diamond Tiara - "Jeez, Terri, can you learn to type? You've got about a billion typos in your posts!"
O - Helpful Not Diamond Tiara - "Hi, Terri, I noticed you have a number of typos in your posts. Something you might want to do is give your posts that one last look-over before hitting submit. It would really help with readability!"

You don't have to post your own characters to give other people feedback! You don't have to post your characters at all if you don't want to. It is 100% OPTIONAL. If you do post, we would encourage you to give feedback to at least one other person!
I think sometimes you get a little bogged down in details. It's totally important to know why and how a character's going to do something, of course! It seems like you worry about this a little too much at times and it stops you from putting your muses out there more.
I think it might really help some of getting Jack out, for instance, if you didn't focus so much on why he's out and about to run into somebody. Or maybe make up a list of reasons when you find time? Like he's out fetching something for the Apple Farm, he's looking for a gift for AJ, he's scoping out a lovely new rake that just came into stock at one of the local stores. Those are the ones I can think of off the top of my head. It also might help to consider how his relationship with AJ is helping to boost his confidence. Maybe he might be more likely to approach people and strike up a conversation now. I'm afraid I'm canon blind to Harvest Moon, but I think for most of those games, wandering around and just talking to people is a major part of them. Just another thing to consider! 90s Kid has been cool and I'll look forward to getting to interact with him more when you get back from your surgery. I think he and Bertie could be terrible jargon at each other and it will be excellent!
you're totally right that Harvest Moon is all about just running around talking to people, and yeah I really have been overthinking this stuff :|a I'm hoping that it's mostly stress related because this entire year has been nuts on my brain and I have so much trouble concentrating and thinking straight because of it. I think more than the how to explain why someone's there, it's just I completely blank on what to write at all. Again, hoping that after recovery and settling into being free of my shit job I can screw my head back on.
