Gentarou is undergoing a canon update. He's getting updated 5 years to the end of Ultimatum, where he is a teacher at AmaHigh, and the head of the Kamen Rider Club and the Youth League, a group of heroes that are meant to preserve the peace in AmaHigh.

He'll be very surprised to return in such a fashion especially since he kind of destroyed the Fourze System back home.
