A Fond See You Later!

To All Foals, Mares, Stallions, and Just Plain Friends,

Two and a half years! Almost to the mark. My Little Jamjar owes so much to the characters and the muns who have stuck with us from the start, joined midway through, come and gone. None of this fantastic game would have been possible without you. We’ve had our bumps in the road, but we the mods all feel that MLJ has come to a satisfactory ending with your input and assistance. We’re proud to have been part of this game and look forward to the next chapter.

From hence forward, MLJ will be a sandbox-type community. Membership will not be moderated, and you’ll be able to use the comms to continue playing in Equestria, as you’d like. As for the mechanics of how that will happen, here are a few basic things:

MLJ will be a nexus-style set-up
That is, characters will be able to come and go from their own universe to MLJ to another at will and back again. This will be accomplished by calling upon the power of a character’s Element, or by calling out for the Pale Pony (or Discord) on your scrolls. Transportation into and out of Equestria will be via rainbows, ultra sick gemstone chariot, or… whatever Discord feels like that day.

What about forms? Are people still going to be ponies in the MLJ ‘verse?
They will, indeed, become ponies or other Equestrian creatures upon transport into Equestria. The magic bringing them there is going to transform them as well as transport them.

What about characters who were never in MLJ? Can they come in? How do they get here?
Presumably they’ll have a friend with an Element. If not, the original Pale Pony is herself very interested in the universes beyond the MLJ ‘verse. She’s going to be exploring, leaving her granddaughter to mind the shop down in Tartarus and may appear to characters anywhere and anywhen to offer them a chance to visit Equestria if they’d like. She’ll be happy to bring them home whenever they feel like they’ve had enough.

So… what was up with all that talk about special prisoners and the poem about the first elements?
THAT would be telling….but since we are telling, the poem refers to the very first bearers, the originators of the elements of Harmony. All but one became corrupted by what became the Equinnity, at various levels, as a result of a battle at the very beginning of MLJ’s universe. Most of them were reborn as mortals, for varying reasons and at varying times, even in varying universe. All except the Pale Pony currently have lost their memory of their original selves and origins.

You’ll find a full listing along with the modplot document for MLJ located HERE for your perusal.

If you have any other questions about the game, about the story of MLJ or any mechanics, please feel free to ask below. And once more, thank you for sharing your time, your characters, and yourselves with us.

With Every Element of Harmony,
