Hello again, MLJ! It's Arc here, and it's been a while since I've apped anyone... but this here is Sadness from the recent Disney/Pixar movie Inside Out!
See that icon? Try the full image. Now let's take a second, and form a nice and neat line, single-file, for hugs. She looks like she could use hugs and, don't lie to yourself, you want to hug her. So go ahead. I'll wait right here.
... Now that we're done with that! She has come in as an earth pony (reference picture) and is, understandably, very confused, upset and lost. But with some optimistic people around she'll be okay. She's slowly gaining confidence in herself, though being here without Joy will cause a slight relapse in her old ways for a bit.
She's from post-Inside Out, and for those of you who don't want to be spoiled... don't worry, it's HIGHLY unlikely she will say anything plot-relevant other than the fact that she and Joy are friends now. (She means really good friends. She's just pessimistic.) Unless your character is intensely inquiring into her past, she will not divulge any major plot elements from the movie, so you have nothing to fear!
