How's My Driving Meme!

HOW'S MY DRIVING?

Hello, Equestrians! Its time for a game-wide HMD!

Here's how it works:

  1. Post your name, along with what character(s) you play.
  2. If you want, specify particular areas you would like feedback on! (It's okay to ask for just general feedback!)
  3. Indicate whether or not you're okay with anonymous feedback. (It's totally cool if you don't.) You can also post links to your character's personal HMD if you'd prefer comments there.
  4. Reply to other people telling them how you think they are doing.
  5. Be polite and objective! If someone says they're cool with anonymous crit, that is not an invitation to be unfriendly. No one likes a Diamond Tiara!
If you have something negative to say about somebody else's playing, make your points politely and suggest ways to improve. To give an example:
    • X - Unhelpful Diamond Tiara - "Jeez, Terri, can you learn to type? You've got about a billion typos in your posts!"
    • O - Helpful Not Diamond Tiara - "Hi, Terri, I noticed you have a number of typos in your posts. Something you might want to do is give your posts that one last look-over before hitting submit. It would really help with readability!"
  6. ?????
  7. PROFIT

You don't have to post your own characters to give other people feedback! You don't have to post your characters at all if you don't want to. It is 100% OPTIONAL. If you do post, we would encourage you to give feedback to at least one other person!

Flattery is welcome just as much as concrit!

I wasn't sure what to say at first, but given my repeated focus on modplot and the tone thereof? I can't keep in my thoughts any longer.

Other people may have problems with how often you get plots, or how you run them, things like that. But in the normal, day-to-day operation of your characters?

I feel like you, out of all the players and the mods, are the one who gets the tone of a MLP game right. Who makes your daily interactions feel like a ponygame. Granted, this isn't 100% perfect (Dash Elric may or may not be going through retooling as we speak because of how much she's veered) but you've got the idea far better than any of the rest of us.

I think instead of just focusing on where you misstep, people need to be aware of the things you do right, too.

I appreciate the compliment. I admit, as you already knew, that I was bothered by a lack of positive feedback. This one, well, sure wasn't what I was hoping I would get, but that doesn't make it any less flattering. Quite the opposite.

The funny thing is that Rainbow Dash is taking an anti-power stance, in part, because having powers has taught her not only that powers can't solve things that friendship can, but that it's easy to rely on powers when you should be relying on friendship. Someone may just need to tell her to make THAT point instead of yelling.
