Post your name, along with what character(s) you play.
If you want, specify particular areas you would like feedback on! (It's okay to ask for just general feedback!)
Indicate whether or not you're okay with anonymous feedback. (It's totally cool if you don't.) You can also post links to your character's personal HMD if you'd prefer comments there.
Reply to other people telling them how you think they are doing.
Be polite and objective! If someone says they're cool with anonymous crit, that is not an invitation to be unfriendly. No one likes a Diamond Tiara! If you have something negative to say about somebody else's playing, make your points politely and suggest ways to improve. To give an example:
X - Unhelpful Diamond Tiara - "Jeez, Terri, can you learn to type? You've got about a billion typos in your posts!"
O - Helpful Not Diamond Tiara - "Hi, Terri, I noticed you have a number of typos in your posts. Something you might want to do is give your posts that one last look-over before hitting submit. It would really help with readability!"
?????
PROFIT
You don't have to post your own characters to give other people feedback! You don't have to post your characters at all if you don't want to. It is 100% OPTIONAL. If you do post, we would encourage you to give feedback to at least one other person!
In response to your comment that your playing is all impulse moves and insanity, I have to say that I think that's honestly a big problem. Looking at your roster of characters, insanity and incredibly broad strokes are expected, but I feel like you stretch so far in that direction that your characters lack any nuance or subtlety. They come off as two-dimensional. Even when character changes happen, like Woona's sudden turn for anger and bitterness at feelings of betrayal, or Lyra's recent problems, they are sudden, dramatic, and huge.
I've been noticing this for a while, watching your top-level posts and how they seem to very frequently be a character doing something huge, dramatic, insane, or goofy. But it's also shown in smaller things as well. (Lyra being able to teleport still really sits poorly with me, for example, because of how little support canon has for anyone demonstrating teleportation.) And I think this also leads to a problem on your end, where character who can't do the broad crazy hit a wall, like Flash.
This is just a broad and top-level perspective and what I've seen from our characters interacting, because I freely admit I don't go digging deep in a lot of things. Still, it's left a strong enough impression on me that I thought I should raise it.
It's really just how I do things. Honestly, I don't plan ahead, I don't deal with mundane so easily. That being said, I have a lot of thoughtful moments planned ahead for weeks and such, but it really becomes buried at times. Also, coming from where I had been, doing something huge, dramatic, insane or goofy is and was the only way to get attention in the mire of posts that went up in my original hay day and I never got out of the habit.
As for Lyra teleporting, c'mon, 5 meters? A lot of previous generation ponies could wink if need be, ranging all the way back to G1. With the backstory I've worked on, it's not hard to say she knows the theory but has limited power to actually perform it until recently. It took her years to get enough magical strength to do so. But that's just me. I've never exceeded five meters after all, even with her power boost. There are things she can and can't do.
That being said, I admit I have a bit of a shouting problem when it comes to making posts, making them wild and crazy. But a old game broke the habit into me, and when I was doing something less insane, it was always overlooked and I had to beg to get tags. So it's kind of a hard habit to break. I'll try to adjust the temperment of the characters but it'll take some doing.
Maybe try doing some of those more mundane things? Pinkie's a party planner, so have her throw a friend a birthday party! One that doesn't have to be super insane awesome. We see in canon how she can do some kids birthday events: small, intimate, and just right for everybody to have some good old fashioned fun. I know she's AU, but I'd imagine she has a bit of that Pinkie spirit in her to know the type of party needed. Maybe something small and silly for one of Fluttershy's animals? They need birthday parties, too!
Woona, once she's off her dream high could probably do with a making preparations for Nightmare Night. Maybe she could try to get together with her AU counterpart to see about decorating the Night Market.
Maybe it's time for Lyra to put together a band for a day as an impromptu Music Day in the Square. Nothing elaborate, just tunes to cheer the ponies who are out shopping.
I'm not as familiar with Ako or Gentarou's canons to be able to make suggestions, but similarly understated, just day-to-day type events would also help flesh them out. I admit, I hesitate at times on tagging into your posts because they do occasionally have the air of LOL SO RANDOM about them.
It honestly sounds like a good idea. There's a lot of things that the ponies can do, and while Ako is working on the farm and Gentarou is telling stories for children, the other three need some good down time. I can work with this.
